Jade Alves, professionally known as Money Badoo, is a rapper, singer, songwriter, stylist, and creative director from Ennerdale, South Africa. Growing up across Johannesburg, her surroundings shaped her distinctive music and fashion sensibilities. She began singing in church at age 12, later transitioning to poetry and rap over beats discovered online.
Money Badoo’s breakthrough came with her debut single All My Friends (2019), featured on Apple Music’s Discovered on The Ebro Show. In 2020, she released the trap EP MK-Ultra with collaborator Sauwcy, followed by her solo debut project PORN$TAR, blending trap, soul, R&B, and hyperpop-infused rap. Her innovative sound and rising profile earned her the distinction of Apple Music’s Up Next artist in South Africa, and she continues to collaborate with emerging talents like Blxckie, Lordkez, and Doowap.
