Craig Lucas is a South African singer-songwriter known for his distinctive alternative pop sound, creating music that speaks to misfits, outsiders, and dreamers. From Elsies River on the Cape Flats, he rose to national fame after winning The Voice South Africa Season 2 in 2017, despite having no formal musical background. Since then, Craig has become a staple on South African radio, earning multiple #1 hits and amassing over 10 million streams.

His debut album RESTLESS (2017) earned a SAMA nomination for Best Pop Album, with singles like “Smother,” “Hearts Exposed,” “Antisociable,” and “Happy” all going gold. He has performed at major events including KDay, Heart Music Festival, Starlight Classics, and Cape Town Pride. Craig is currently working on a new album set for release in 2024. The project tackles deeply personal themes—coming out as queer, mental health struggles, and his father’s suicide. All this is balanced by a humorous, tongue-in-cheek edge. Musically, it leans into pop-rock, blending electric guitars, bold drums, and emotive vocals to make complex topics accessible and compelling.
