Zintle Neahtyah Mbuyazwe is a South African jazz songwriter, vocalist, and performer. She began her musical journey in East London in 2012 and later studied Vocal Jazz and Jazz Piano at the University of Fort Hare. Early in her career, she was the lead vocalist for the East London band Highway to Heaven Alive, and in 2014, she released her EP Speak to the Soul and has opened for SAMA-winning artist Siphokazi.
Neahtyah has shared stages with celebrated musicians including Thandiswa Mazwai, Madala Kunene, Sibusile Xaba, Bongeziwe Mabandla, Msaki, and others. She has performed at festivals and venues such as the Buffalo City Carnival, Emthonjeni Arts Centre, Ipeleng Community Centre, and The Square Africa Jazz Hour Sessions.
Her sound blends organic live instrumentation, Xhosa rhythms, and afro-jazz, rooted in what she calls “Truth”—music that inspires hope and emotional healing.
